Position:   Middle School Teacher

Full/Part Time:  Full-Time

Responsibilities:  The teacher will:

• Implement daily lessons.
• Integrate Biblical themes and principles throughout lesson.
• Plan a program that helps each student achieve learning objectives and curriculum goals.
• Prepare lesson materials and resources.
• Select and use instructional methods and materials appropriate to students and learning activities.
• Utilize a variety of resources to teach basic skills and foster student development.
• Adapt standard teaching methods to meet different student needs and interests.
• Create a positive and appropriate classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
• Develop and implement a suitable classroom management system.
• Establish rules for acceptable behavior.
• Implement approved disciplinary interventions.
• Make referrals for assistance where necessary.
• Encourage cooperative social behavior.
• Observe, evaluate and record children's social and academic progress in online platforms.
• Provide constructive feedback to parents, guardians, and administration.
• Ensure equipment and facilities are clean and safe.
• Collaborate with other staff members.
• Demonstrate an understanding and proficiency in relevant technology.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and energy, flexibility, patience, and creativity.
• Demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to Christian education.
• Present a positive image of Christ and the school to others and to the community.

 
Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree
• Valid Ohio Professional License or Non-Tax Certificate
• Evidence a mature personal Christian faith consistent with East Liverpool Christian School's Tenets of Faith by the following:
  • Being a born again Christian
  • Being an active church member
  • Exhibiting a close personal walk with Jesus Christ
  • Modeling an exemplary Biblical lifestyle
  • Evidencing maturity in the understanding and integration of sound Biblical principles in classroom instruction and personal counseling
  • Demonstrating an understanding of and a commitment to Christian education
  • Present a positive image of Christ and the school to others and to the community.
