Position: Athletic Director
Full/Part Time: Part-Time or Full-Time
Specific Openings:
- School Athletic Director
Job Posting: Unfilled for 2023-2024
Responsibilities: The Athletic Director will:
- Work within the Athletic League-Conference to communicate, attend meetings, submit information, schedule competitions, etc. for all fall, winter, spring sports.
- Communicate and report to Administration weekly and School Board monthly.
- Lead, communicate and work with the Athletic Department to plan and implement programs.
- Schedule and lead monthly Athletic Committee meetings.
- Oversee fundraising efforts for the Athletic Department
- Work with the Athletic Committee on budget and spending
- Seek to fill coaching positions, oversee, and communicate with the coaching staff.
- Oversee and the maintenance of coaches’ credentials.
- Evaluate the coach staff yearly.
- Communicate with student-athletes and parents.
- Communicate with the school population at large (non-athletes, school families, teachers, staff, etc…)
- Promote ELCS Athletics
- Secure referees/officials for home competitions
- Secure locations for competitions/games/practices
- Attend home competitions.
- Organize and oversee sports banquets and awards Design, plan, and implement physical education lessons based on state standards of learning.
- Bachelor's degree (preferable)
- Ohio Pupil Activity Permit-Coaching Permit
- Background in athletics
- Experience in planning and implementing an Athletics Program
- Evidence a mature personal Christian faith consistent with East Liverpool Christian School’s Tenets of Faith by the following:
- Being a born again Christian
- Being an active church member
- Exhibiting a close personal walk with Jesus Christ
- Modeling an exemplary Biblical lifestyle
- Evidencing maturity in the understanding and integration of sound Biblical principles in classroom instruction and personal counseling
- Demonstrating an understanding of and a commitment to Christian education
- Presenting a positive image of Christ and the school to others and to the community
