Position:   Kindergarten Teacher

Full/Part Time:  Full Time

Responsibilities:  The teacher will:
  • Follow the Ohio Standards of Learning, the ELCS Course of Study, and ELCS provided curriculum to design and implement daily lessons for Kindergarten students
  • Integrate Biblical themes and principles throughout lessons
  • Plan a program that helps each student achieve learning objectives and curriculum goals
  • Prepare lesson materials and resources
  • Select and use instructional methods and materials appropriate to students and learning activities
  • Utilize a variety of resources to teach basic skills and foster student development
  • Adapt standard teaching methods to meet different student needs and interests
  • Create a positive and appropriate classroom environment that is conducive to learning
  • Develop and implement a suitable classroom management system
  • Establish rules for acceptable behavior
  • Implement approved disciplinary interventions
  • Make referrals for assistance where necessary
  • Encourage cooperative social behavior
  • Observe, evaluate and record children's social and academic progress in online platforms
  • Provide constructive feedback to parents, guardians, and administration
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are clean and safe
  • Collaborate with other staff members
  • Demonstrate an understanding and proficiency in relevant technology
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and energy, flexibility, patience, and creativity
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to Christian education
  • Present a positive image of Christ and the school to others and to the community
 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Ohio Professional License or Non-Tax Certificate
  • Evidence a mature personal Christian faith consistent with East Liverpool Christian School's Tenets of Faith by the following:
    • Being a born again Christian
    • Being an active church member
    • Exhibiting a close personal walk with Jesus Christ
    • Modeling an exemplary Biblical lifestyle
    • Evidencing maturity in the understanding and integration of sound Biblical principles in classroom instruction and personal counseling
    • Demonstrating an understanding of and a commitment to Christian education
    • Presenting a positive image of Christ and the school to others and to the community
