Intervention Teacher ​

Position:   Intervention Teacher

Full/Part Time:  Part-Time or Full-Time

Specific Openings: Intervention Teacher

Job Posting:  Unfilled for 2022-2023
 
Responsibilities:  The Intervention teacher-coordinator  will:
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of the Response to Intervention (RTI) process
  • Collaboration with school leadership to develop a comprehensive, integrated, multi-tiered system of interventions for students
  • Work with school intervention team and administrator to establish, review and enhance data collection, analysis, evaluation and reporting processes
  • Participate in Intervention Team meetings at school
  • Participate in service plan meetings at school with parents, teachers, and District officials
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding service plans
  • Implement and support ongoing staff development in the use of assessment data to drive instructional decisions for intervention students
  • Assist school level teams in establishing decision-making rules for determining when students need interventions (strategic and targeted), identifying student needs, developing intervention plans, and implementing appropriate interventions promoting collaborative team processes
  • Support ongoing staff development for the implementation of evidence based intervention and instructional strategies
  • Assist staff in best practices for high impact intervention programs and processes
  • Model and use effective instructional techniques within classrooms during designated intervention time
  • Model and use effective instructional techniques in small group intervention setting
  • Collect and analyze school data for reporting at benchmark times
  • Plan and participate in intervention training sessions
 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Ohio Professional License or Non-Tax Certificate
  • Background in reading, writing and math intervention and instructional strategies
  • Experience in implementing intervention strategies and techniques with students
  • Knowledge of research related to Response to Intervention 
  • Evidence a mature personal Christian faith consistent with East Liverpool Christian School's Tenets of Faith by the following:

    • Exhibiting a close personal walk with Jesus Christ
    • Modeling an exemplary Biblical lifestyle
    • Evidencing maturity in the understanding and integration of sound Biblical principles in classroom instruction and personal counseling
  • Demonstrating an understanding of and a commitment to Christian education
  • Presenting a positive image of Christ and the school to others and to the community
